ELAM’s 12 Days of Giving 2025: Giving With Heart, Purpose, and Community

At ELAM, giving back has always been part of who we are. Each December for the past five years, we’ve proudly continued our 12 Days of Giving initiative—a tradition rooted in gratitude, compassion, and our belief that meaningful change happens when communities come together.

This campaign goes beyond donations. It reflects the values that have guided ELAM since day one: social responsibility, empathy, and human connection. Whether through offering language training at our expense to community organizations or supporting causes that touch the lives of our employees and clients, the 12 Days of Giving is our way of turning shared values into real impact.

The 12 Days of Giving takes place every December, with one charity revealed each day. Over the course of twelve days, ELAM donates to twelve organizations that support a wide range of causes—from mental health and healthcare to food security, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and social inclusion. Our goal is simple: to support organizations that are doing meaningful work and making a difference where it’s needed most, both locally and internationally.

What makes this initiative especially meaningful is the collaborative spirit behind it. Each year, six ELAM employees and six clients are invited to nominate a charity that is close to their hearts. The result is a diverse and deeply personal selection of organizations, each one representing a story, a lived experience, or a cause that matters to someone in our extended ELAM community.

The 12 Charities We Supported in 2025

This year’s 12 Days of Giving once again highlighted the incredible breadth of causes our community cares about:

  • Day 1 – Centraide, selected by our partner CAE, supports thousands of individuals by helping them overcome isolation, meet essential needs, and strengthen local communities. Their work creates lasting, tangible change in people’s lives.
  • Day 2 – Les Impatients, chosen by our client McGill, is a non-profit organization that supports people living with mental health challenges through artistic expression. With over 80 art and music workshops across Quebec, they help more than 850 people each week and preserve a remarkable collection of 15,000 artworks created by participants.
  • Day 3 – Fondation Bas de Laine, selected by our client Distech, provides financial support to women and children who are victims of domestic violence as they leave shelters and begin rebuilding their lives. Every contribution helps families take crucial steps toward safety and stability.
  • Day 4 – Women for Change (South Africa), chosen by Thobile, our Training Support and Coordinator, delivers long-term, transformative programs that empower women to overcome hardship and create lasting improvements in their lives and communities.
  • Day 5 – SPCA Montérégie, selected by Paule, our founder, reflects her deep love for animals and belief that every animal deserves to feel safe, loved, and at home.
  • Day 6 – Le Tremplin (Lévis, Québec), chosen by Sophie, our French and Foreign Language Programs Coordinator, supports immigrants as they adapt, integrate, and find their place in a new community—an organization close to her heart as an immigrant herself.
  • Day 7 – Food Banks of Quebec, selected by our client Sobeys Inc., plays a vital role in ensuring food security for hundreds of thousands of individuals across the province.
  • Day 8 – Ékip Jeunesse, chosen by our client Boralex, works to ensure that no young person has to move forward alone, transforming precarity into hope through a strong network of youth, community partners, and supporters.
  • Day 9 – Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine, selected by Emmanuelle, our Business Development and Marketing Manager, honors the dedication of healthcare workers—especially in recognition of her sister, a nurse at the hospital who supports children and families during some of their most difficult moments.
  • Day 10 – Réseau Environnement, chosen by our client P&WC, advances environmental solutions and sustainable practices through collaboration, innovation, and education, helping protect natural resources across Quebec.
  • Day 11 – The Gazette Christmas Fund, selected by ELAM employee Tamara, supports families and individuals facing financial hardship during the holiday season, helping bring warmth, dignity, and hope when it’s needed most.
  • Day 12 – Refuge RR, chosen by Allison, our Senior Account Manager, is an animal sanctuary home to over 300 rescued farm animals. Founded more than 20 years ago, the refuge offers animals a second chance at life, thanks to the unwavering dedication of its founders and caretakers.

Each of these organizations plays a vital role in addressing complex social, environmental, and humanitarian challenges. We are honored to support them and grateful to the employees and clients who shared the personal stories and passions behind each selection.

As another year comes to a close, we’re proud to continue this tradition of giving—one that reflects the heart of ELAM and the incredible community around us. From all of us at ELAM, we wish you a joyful holiday season and a New Year filled with kindness, connection, and generosity.
