ELAM has been certified for over two years and has experienced firsthand the many benefits of being part of this nonprofit organization that opens doors for Canadian women-owned businesses. Certified WBEs have access to an ever-growing community of diverse suppliers and tools that allow them to grow and highlight their goods and services to corporations.
WBE Canada’s mission is to facilitate connections between Canadian women-owned businesses and corporate/government customers, remove existing barriers, and make supply chains more diverse and inclusive. They are the link between corporate and government purchasing and Canadian women-owned businesses (WBEs). Their concentration is on three areas.
- ACCELERATING SUPPLIER DIVERSITY
- CANADIAN WBE DATABASE DEVELOPMENT
- EMPOWERING WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES
In addition to accreditation, WBE Canada provides initiatives that enhance the capacity of women-owned businesses to compete successfully for significant procurement opportunities. They continually seek new collaborations to offer comprehensive support for women-owned businesses across industries, growth stages, and business requirements. The WBE community can access a tailored Toolbox, workshops, training webinars, networking, and other programming resources.
ELAM’s founder, Paule Grenier, has been part of various committees, such as the Supplier Advisory Committee, the Engagement Committee, and the Programming Committee. Being part of these committees has allowed ELAM to showcase its services, discover potential opportunities as a volunteer, and help us build relationships and encourage business growth.
As a WBE-certified business, ELAM is genuinely honored to be selected as a finalist for the 2022 WBE Canada Excellence Awards!
The awards will be presented at WBE Canada‘s 2022 National Conference: ROADMAP TO SUCCESS in Toronto, Ontario, on November 10, 2022!
